New students (no previous enrollment at UC Berkeley)
New students are prompted to create a CalNet ID when admitted. After accepting your admission offer, you will receive an email (please see screenshot below) within 48 hours containing your student ID number + access claim code, and instructions on how to create your CalNet ID, which will become the basis of your UC Berkeley online identity. You must wait to receive this email before you can create your CalNet ID. If you have not received the below email 48 hours after successfully submitting your application, please contact us at concurrent@berkeley.edu.
Returning students (previously enrolled at UC Berkeley)
If you have attended or applied and were admitted to a program in previous semesters, you do not need to create a new CalNet ID. Your previous CalNet ID will be activated for the current semester/term you were admitted to, along with your student ID number. An email will be sent to provide your CalNet + Student ID and instructions on the next steps (please see screenshot below). If you have not received the below email 48 hours after successfully submitting your application, please contact us at concurrent@berkeley.edu.
