All students requiring student visa sponsorship must provide proof of English proficiency. There are several ways to meet this requirement, which can be found on the Concurrent Enrollment website.
Exemptions
Students from countries where English is the primary language spoken will be exempt from submitting proof of language proficiency. To qualify for this exemption, a passport or valid ID must be provided.
Waivers
You may also request a waiver of this requirement if you meet any of the following criteria.
- You have completed a university-level program in a country or region where English is the official language.
- You have completed one year of full-time, college-level instruction entirely in English.
Approved score submission
Those who do not meet any of the above criteria may submit an approved English proficiency test score from one of the following:
TOEFL (iBT) with a minimum score of 90. TOEFL MyBest scores are accepted.
IELTS Academic Format with a minimum band score of 7.0. IELTS One Skill Retake scores are accepted.
Duolingo with a minimum score of 125.
An official score report is required for all of the above tests. Screenshots from the website will not be accepted. All score submissions must be in or translated into English or have clearly legible, identifying information. The test date(s) must be from within 2 years of the date your application is submitted. This also applies to TOEFL MyBest scores and IELTS One Skill Retake scores.
