Concurrent enrollment students can opt to take a class on a not-for-credit (NC) or an auditing basis, but additional steps must be taken.
If you'd like to enroll in a class on a not-for-credit basis, you must submit a class application under the "My Academics" page of CalCentral by the class application add deadline. Please ensure that you enter your grading request to take the class on an NC basis as a note in the “additional information” section of the class application.
Next, submit a not-for-credit grading basis request form after your enrollment is approved and before the payment deadline. Please be aware that enrollments on a not-for-credit or auditing basis are official enrollments that will appear with an NC grade on official transcripts. Additionally, please note that the standard Concurrent Enrollment fees (tuition, registration fee, course materials and service fee, if applicable) would be assessed if the enrollment application is approved.
We also encourage you to discuss your plans with your program advisor if you haven't done so already to ensure that you will still be fulfilling any program requirements.
