Please refer to the Billing and Payment website to learn more about which forms of international payments are accepted by the University. We strongly recommend that you only use one of the payment methods mentioned on the Billing and Payment website. If you use another method, e.g. a direct wire to the University's account, processing of your payment may be delayed by several weeks.
If you make a payment by credit card, please note that a convenience fee will be charged on top of the amount that is due to recover the service charges the University incurs with the credit card company. The charge is 4.25% for payments with international credit cards. If you wish to avoid this charge, please use the Flywire or Convera services that are outlined on the Billing and Payment website.
You should also take into account that international payments take 3-4 business days to process on average. We recommend that you make the payment several days before the official deadline to make sure that the funds arrive on time.
Some banks or countries have restrictions on the maximum amount you can pay or transfer in one international transaction. If your bank or country does have such restrictions, please make sure to factor in enough time to make several payments to pay your balance. You can make as many payments as you would like toward your balance – there is no requirement to pay the entire balance in one transaction.
If you run into any issues with your payment, please contact us at concurrent@berkeley.edu.
